Christmas Present
My friends and I hung out at the NCO club with a group of area
girls. One evening around christmas time, one of the girls
that I had had little contact with before was upset and sobbing
about some problem that I don't remember. In an effort
to cheer her up I showed her the lighter I had just purchased
and told her it was my christmas present. When she asked
who gave it to me I told her I bought it for myself and that
it was the only present I expected to receive that year.
She immediately gave me a big hug and told me how sorry she
was that I wouldn't receive anything from anyone and
that she wanted to take me home. We left and made love all
night with a good breakfast in the morning before I had to
head back to the base. Moral - sometimes those with less
get more.
