Bible & Free Love

I struggled with fundamentalism until in 1980, I saw the
light. I was in a church listening to yet another sermon
on the subject of it being God's will to vote Republican.

America for Jesus had swept through the churches like a
plague, rewriting history and filling heads with propaganda.
This particular night, I just threw it all in. I left the
church and drove downtown to a strip-club, went in and ordered
a beer.
Immediately, I noticed the warmth of the workers and patrons
alike. There was a connectedness that I had not experienced
in the church "fellowships."
So . . . I set out on a new path that took me through experiences
that broadened my mind and helped me to see Spirit more clearly.
Researching the origin of the Biblical canon, I was amazed
to find how badly Greek and Hebrew translate into English
. . . then there's the dark ages, the Crusades, Witch
Hunts, etc. that give a person pause.
So, my own personal theology evolved; I became accepting
of all people regardless of their personal convictions.
Faith is largely defined by culture, region, life experience
and is very individualized.
I use prayer as a means of moving energy, but there are many
other methods that may be employed just as effectively.
One thing I'm absolutely certain of . . . it is not a sin
for me to enjoy, or even love more than one woman.
