Response to Cardio or fatburn..
Hello there
To reply to the folks who asked which is better cardio exercise
or fat burn exercise. They are the same thing. I am assuming
fat burn is lower intensity than cardio which seemed
to be the trend clients have.
However to effectively burn the fat, you must tax your system
enough to burn the calories, and force your body to adapt.
The most common way we use is target heart rate. We recommend
that good old 220 your age multiplied by .65 to .80 (hence
65 to 80 percent your maximal heart rate). It is best to go
a purchase a heart rate monitor, they are about $30.00 at
walmart. Then if you are outside you can see your heart rate,
or if in a gym you know your monitor works where the cardio
machines HR monitor is probably messed up.
The second way, which seems almost as accurate for a health
fitness cardio zone is the talk test (this probably a type
of study I am going to do my thesis on). The talk test is simply
you do a cardio exercise and if you can talk, not sing not
yell, but talk in a normal voice with out gasping, you are
in the zone. If you have any questions feel free to ask. I
