The importance of sex
I have come to the conclusion that the meaning of life is
sex. I try to find falicies in my own thought so maybe anyone
reading this can help. Ok all life on our planet pretty much
live to reproduce, but many would argue that humans are
different, that we are aware of our own exsistance and also
of our coming death which makes us try to live our lives to
the fullist extent. But when i look at almost evertybody
they are trying to get rich or, look better. I beleive that
all of us subconciously are all trying to acheive the same
goal, to get laid. We make money so that we can buy nicer things,
but do we do this for our own comfort or top demonstrate our
sexual virility to the opposite sex through possesions?
Does anyone need a Corvette that can reach speeds of almost
200 mph? No, so why do we buy the 80, 000 dollar car? It is
no more comfortable than a 1995 crown victoria. We so this
to attract others into our sex lives. And why do so many women,
and men, constantly diet to lose that extra 10 pounds. Some
say they want to lose wieght to feel good about themselves,
or for health reasons. But to feel good about yourself you
need to fit societies idea of sexy? And health senarios
range from person to person, but if you ask any doctor he/she
will tell you it is better to be ten pounds over wieght than
10 pounds under.
Even those who choose a life of celebecy promote sex, within
marriage usually, to its fullist. Catholicism has outlawed
the use of contraceptives, why? The desire to have sex is
not simply to cum, but to reproduce. "Multiply humanities
numbers until there is no room left for another" is
religion's mantra. I would argue that homosexuality
is a defect in our making, to have sex but not for the purpose
of reproduction is productive in natural selection through
STDs. Weed out the "nonbreeders" to make room
for those who make tons of babies. Evolutionarly you are
meaningless unless you produce viable offspring. I dont
personally believe there is anything wrong with homosexuality,
but the drive to get laid in that community is just as great
as in the heterosexual community. The extensive use of
contraceptives in our culture is almost like a litmus test,
"is he or she good enough to have and raise my children?"
I dont claim to be a philosopher, nor do i claim to have much
knowledge of life at the young age of 18, but i do appreciate
the flow of knowledge between individuals and would love
to hear your thoughts on my subject, am i a stupid kid who
is thinking out of his league, or am I right? Productive
critism would be appreciated. And I know I am a crappy speller,
thanks for noticing though.
