I have always tried to make women I meet comfortable. Sometimes,
roles are reversed. On a blind date with a woman one evening
a few years back, I met her publicly (for safety I thought)
at a local movie theater. This was complete with a red rose
and well dressed to make a good first immepression. The
woman had described herself as young, in her 20's,
Blue Eyed Brunette, and Average Body. I could not find this
woman waiting at the theater. However, a 300 lb, 60 year
old woman was there waiting with a huge hump on her back (I'm
not making this up!). See did reconize me from my description
(Unfortunately). Try to remain the Southern Gentleman,
I went through the date at the movie for 90 minutes. It is
the first time I realized how a woman feels when a man makes
unwanted advances. I did not want to touched, looked at,
or seen with this woman. I am glad that it was dark and no one
I knew reconized me with her. I immediately went home and
for weeks would wake up in the night with cold shivers. She
was beyond coyote ugly. Since that time, I absolutely will
not consider a blind date without a photo first. I only make
the first meeting for coffee or drinks (so I can leave quickly).
If I catch them in a lie, then the date's over. I try to
arrive early and make sure they are the person they claim,
sit in an area different from where I described, and try
to observe them first before I physically meet them. This
helps filter out the liars, hookers, and vice cops looking
for entrapments. Men rarely think they could be in danger.
It can happen with women who promise sex, want to meet you
in a hotel they pick, and have a boyfriend or husband show
up to either rob you or go into a jealous rage. I always pick
the location (after I am comfortable with her) for motels,
and usually at random and rotate them from the last. I prefer
not to meet them in my home, locally, or in their home. At
least not before I am more comfortable with them. A lot of
Hookers use these services, you find out when they start
asking for money before or after sex. I send them packing.
This is not advise to be a wimp, just be cautious and think
first with the "big head" instead of the "little
head".
