Beautiful souls, part 2
I give up! I have tried six times to post a reply to everyone
at the original thread, but none is showing up. I didn't
want you all to think I hadn't seen your replies...or
that I didn't appreciate them, so I had to start this
new thread.
To Yabba and Licking: Thanks for your remarks...as I tried
to say in all the lost posts, I just think that I "listen"
and retain what I hear because of my training as a reporter...but
you are right, Yabba, I certainly do care about all my friends
here.
My friend Steve is now battling pneumonia and still in a
drug-induced coma. Dialysis worked and reduced some fluid
build-up, but he is not out of the woods. There is no sign
of brain damage, thank God...but every day seems to be a
routine of two steps forward, one step back. It's just
a waiting game now, as they plan a tracheotomy tomorrow
to get him off the respirator. He is breathing more and more
on his own, and that is great news.
Please keep him in your prayers.
