RE: I want to work out but have no motivation
I understand exactly what you are talking about. I've
been searching for the motivation myself...and my head
tells me what I should be doing, but it's also what's
keeping me from doing it. I'll be too tired, not feel
well, too stressed....all of which would be cured from
exercising. About 10 years ago, I joined WW and lost 47 pounds.
Once I lost about 20-25, I went to the gym and started doing
aerobics. I'm telling you, I couldn't make it
through 1 class w.out stopping in the middle of it to go use
my inhaler (I have asthma). About 6 months down the road,
I was doing 2 classes in a row and working out with the weights.
A guy who also worked out and who I thought was the meanest
looking guy in the gym came up to me and said "I remember
when you couldn't even do an entire aerobic class,
and look at you now". Well, that was all I needed to
hear to know that working out had really paid off for me.
I was also able to stop my allergy/asthma medication. Wish
I could say I kept myself in that shape....I now need to find
that motivation again as I have gained back that weight
and then some. The one thing I have to tell you is that if you
find the motivation, figure out how to keep it because once
you get in shape, it's easier to stay in shape than lose
it and have to start all over again. Hope this story helped
and I hope you find your way to the gym.
