Stretching, Exercise, Diet - the Holy Trinity of Health
I've found that the best things you can do to maintain
your health are as follows:
1) Simple hatha yoga for fifteen minutes a day, every day
for the rest of your life. Take is slowly and easily.
2) Walking and jogging. These help build leg muscles, the
heart, and lungs, and walking contributes to a healthy
back.
3) Biking. I accidentally improved my thighs with this.
I bike everywhere, and now my thighs are muscular.
4) Swimming. Just damn healthy.
5) Pushups. Good for the triceps and pecs. Do not do this
if you aren't stretching. It can be hard on the back.
Start slow.
6) Pullups. Great for the biceps. Do not do this if you are
not stretching.
7) Crunches. Better for you than situps. Good for the stomach.
8) Eat fresh food and lots of vegetables and fruits. Look
at the food pyramid. Don't eat processed stuff, and
do NOT go on low-carb low-fat BS diets if you plan to gain
muscle mass. They will only hurt you. I accidentally dropped
ten pounds by not eating enough protien and carbohydrates
while exercising like I do now.
9) Eat a sensible amount of food. Do not gorge. Do NOT eat
late night snacks. Go to bed hungry if you must.
10) Ingest a moderate amount of alcohol and do not smoke.
11) Masturbate frequently. Good for the lungs; good for
sexual health.
12) Practice proper breathing. Fill the lower lungs first,
then the midlung, then the upper lung. Hold, then evacuate
the air starting at the lower lung, then mid, then upper.
Look up Pranayama for a more detailed take on the Complete
Breath. I have found that the Complete Breath affords perfect
posture if you are lacking in that area.
Do the above exercises every other day, never skip a stretching
day, and do not lapse into ingesting lots of Bad Stuff and
you should look and feel twenty years younger.
